These two drone flyovers show both roundabouts progressing well and clearly taking shape with the new link road to the B1077 clearly visible. We’re continuing to make good progress on site.  We’ll share more videos of our work in due course.

Did you know

Did you know – As we are building near a disused WW2 airfield we occasionally find interesting artefacts in the ground (we’ve safely disposed of any ammunition). This is an air bottle jettisoned from an aircraft and would have been used by aircrew at the rear of a plane to breath at altitude.

Suffolk County Council and Interserve Construction are constantly reviewing the latest Government guidance to ensure safe working practices. Our site offices are Covid compliant whilst our site operatives are maintaining social distancing practices.

Southern roundabout

We’ve moved thousands of tonnes of soil to help build up the base for the new southern roundabout and road. The new roundabout is already taking shape along with the new stretch of road.

Northern roundabout

We’re continuing to make good progress on the northern roundabout and link road with the road starting to take shape. Surfacing works are due to take place next month. Noise mitigation measures are in place for local properties.

We’ve been able to make good progress on both roundabouts and the link road. Earthworks and drainage have been the main focus on the two sections whilst some utility work on the northern roundabout has also been completed. Southern roundabout

Work started on the Northern part of the scheme

We’ve recently been able to start work on the northern part of the scheme to begin work on the roundabout there. We have been working on drainage and earthworks. This will allow us to begin other work which will ultimately benefit the drivers and the local community.
