Did you know – As we are building near a disused WW2 airfield we occasionally find interesting artefacts in the ground (we’ve safely disposed of any ammunition). This is an air bottle jettisoned from an aircraft and would have been used by aircrew at the rear of a plane to breath at altitude.
The A140 scheme recently hosted an event bringing together the various partners involved. Representatives from Suffolk County Council, Baberg & Mid Suffolk Council, Norfolk County Council, Interserve and Dr Dan Poulter MP visited the site. There they found out more about how it will create jobs, help the regional economy whilst making using this stretch

As part of our early ground works investigations, we found over 500 rounds of old ammunition left over from the World War Two. This old ammunition was safe to handle and dispose of responsibly. We’ll continue to share updates on this page.
We’ve recently been able to start work on the northern part of the scheme to begin work on the roundabout there. We have been working on drainage and earthworks. This will allow us to begin other work which will ultimately benefit the drivers and the local community.
